Celebrating a Life of Opportunity
Meet the Hillmann family, who recently made a $10,000 gift to the Saint Xavier University’s Scholarship Endowment Fund in honor of their mother, Ann Piktuzis Hillmann ’43.
Ann passed away in 2021 at the age of 99. Throughout her life, Ann deeply cherished her time at Saint Xavier and the opportunities higher education made possible for her and her family.
A daughter of Lithuanian immigrants, Ann received a scholarship to attend Saint Xavier alongside her sister Christine. Higher education afforded Ann a well-rounded appreciation for life.
She cultivated a successful creative portfolio as a distinguished musician and watercolorist while expanding her skills in cooking, tennis and golf. As President of Traveler’s Club, Ann shared her passion for travel and inspired others to see the world.
Ann’s four children made their gift to celebrate the impact higher education has had on their family. Their kindness is opening doors to similar opportunities for a new generation of Saint Xavier students.
The Hillmann Family’s gift highlights the importance of donor support—your contributions make a lifelong impact on students and allow them to live life to the fullest, just as Ann Hillmann did.
